The months leading to the official release of the much-awaited Samsung Galaxy S8 have all been generous to the handset's purported features specifications. But if there is one thing that is left unanswered or is still in the dark, it is the device's information on its random access memory.
Conflicting reports have been circulating since then regarding Samsung Galaxy S8's alleged RAM. While most tech enthusiasts find this a bit frustrating, this has been welcomed as a great improvement for some as this could mean that the South Korean company is up for something surprising.
That veil of mystery has now been lifted, courtesy to the recent rumors that are surfacing. GSMArena has reported that a source has indicated that Samsung Galaxy S8 may be coming with a 6GB variant exclusively for the Chinese market. This has come significantly into rumor mills as Samsung is attempting the notorious market in which some local companies such as Xiaomi Inc and Huawei have now been offering much higher RAMs in their latest iterations.
The same publication has noted that the source has signalled that Samsung may also drop the Samsung Galaxy S8's 6GB variant in its mainland South Korean market. Meanwhile, the firm has shared that once it has proven that the variant is indeed going to be taken strongly by these other markets, only then will it consider making this version available internationally.
On the other hand, other sources have surfaced and speculated that Samsung Galaxy S8 is tipped go with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage in European and North American markets. Quite astoundingly, the forthcoming device is also rumored to come with an even more massive 8GB of RAM.
Samsung Galaxy S8 is also expected to come with a dedicated Bixby button, large dual-edge curved displays with thinner bezels, and without a home button, as per NDTV. It is scheduled to be unveiled on March 29 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
