One of the upcoming smartphone iterations of Xiaomi Inc's flagship roster is going to borrow a page from one of its renowned releases to date. Xiaomi Mi 6 is going a la Xiaomi Mi Mix with a ceramic variant.
GSMArena has reported that a new speculation from China has surfaced, indicating that one of Xiaomi Mi 6's variants will be getting a ceramic version. The inspiration is clearly taken from the success of its nearly bezel-less release of Xiaomi Mi Mix that was unveiled in 2016. In addition, the upcoming version is reportedly sporting a massive 6GB of random access memory (RAM). The premium variant is also expected to come with a dual-curved touchscreen and Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 in it.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi Mi 6's two other variants will be arming flat-screen displays and will be supported by 4GB of RAM. Other features that are slated to be equipped on all the Xiaomi Mi 6 devices are the 12-megapixel for its main cameras, Android 7.0 Nougat along with a reliable 3,000 mAh battery. In terms of internal storage options, Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to be retailed in 128GB and 256GB tiers. And as far as these specifications go, neither of these are showing signs of possessing entry-level features.
On the other hand, Xiaomi Mi 6's pricing will be dependent on each of the variant's specifications, as per NDTV. As such, the premium iteration that will be coming with a ceramic body will be priced at approxiamtely $435. The mid-tier model is going for $363 while the presumed, cheapest version is going to be retailed at $290. It should be noted that these price could still change at the time of their release.
Xiaomi Mi 6 is slated to be unveiled on April or May 2017 during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. All of the three variants are poised to be revealed as soon as Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6 are launched accordingly.
