'The Walking Dead' Season 7: Possible air date by Q4 2016, Episode 1 leaked; Negan to kill Lucille?

By

Director Greg Nicotero teased that "The Walking Dead" Season 7 will focus on Negan's arc. A video clip has been leaked as well where it shows that Negan will kill Lucille as the series returns during the latter months of 2016. Also, the recap of last season's finale episode is provided here for fans who have missed to watch it.

Series director Greg Nicotero discussed the details via Entertainment Weekly on what fans should expect in the upcoming "The Walking Dead" Season 7. Nicotero stated, "Next season is really Negan's story and how our group has to deal with who he is and what his way of life is, so I think [the season 6 cliffhanger is] the perfect ending to this season.

Watching everyone on their knees, stripped down to the barest vulnerability, and knowing that the cavalry's not coming over the hill. Our group has never been in the situation before, so I think its the perfect opportunity. I was very passionate about ending season 6 on a cliffhanger and not knowing, because I feel like it propels us into the next season in a great way."

With that being said, a video of the upcoming episode premiere has been leaked online. The teaser clip hints that Negan will kill Lucille as the show returns. Unfortunately, the leaked video has already been removed from Youtube due to its copyright issues, however, other teaser clips are still circulating online, Movie Web has cited.

For a quick recap of "The Walking Dead" Season 6 finale episode (episode 16) "Something To Fear", The Wall Street Journal reported that Rick and the group went outside the walls to save one on their own. Suddenly, what they encountered down the road has changed their lives forever.

The first 8 episodes of "The Walking Dead" Season 7 is expected to be release around October to late November or early December 2016, while the second part of the show will return around February 2017 and will run until March. The show will air on AMC in the US and FOX in the UK.
