Samsung's newest phablet, the Galaxy Note 6, is said to be released this year. But how does it look? And how cool are the features?
Whenever Samsung launches its newest technology, fans can't help but ask how it will differ on the other Samsung devices. It's current star, the Galaxy Note 5, is not yet available in UK despite speculations that it will arrive there on January this year. According to Know Your Mobile, Samsung wants to offer its British fans the Galaxy S6 Edge+ which is a larger edition of S6 Edge.
However, after months of expected arrival of Galaxy Note 5 in UK, it seems that Samsung has a different plan for its loyal customers and that is to release the Samsung Galaxy Note 6. So what's to be excited about Samsung's latest offering?
Although no leaked image yet, we are expecting that the Note 6 is a refine of the Note 5's design and not a complete overhaul. Rumors also said that this phablet is IP68 certified which makes it water and dust resistant just like the current Samsung Galaxy S7. It can withstand water submersion of up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.
In terms of display, specualtions said that the Note 6 will have a larger screen size of up to 5.8 inches. Its screen display (Super AMOLED) will be technically more advanced than the previous ones Samsung has been using for its past devices. Furthermore, the handset's screen is also pressure-sensitive with 1,024 pressure points. As for the Note 6's camera, it will come with a 20-megapixel camera with Super OIS (optical image stabilisation) Plus sensor, according to speculations.
There's also a possiblity of including an iris scanner from India for research and development activities. However, before fans get thrilled, it is better to wait for any official announcements instead of jumping to the conclusions.
Other rumors on the Note 6's feature is its 6GB of RAM, which is 2GB more than the previous Samsung devices and its two hardware configurations - one for the Asian and the other for West market. A bigger battery which is 4,000mAh cell is also expected in Note 6, higher than the Note 5 which is 3,000mAh. Lastly, it will run on operating system Android N.
Although no official announcement from Samsung yet on its launch date, the Note 6 is rumored to be released this coming July instead of August like last year. The firm might be targetting to launch it prior to Apple's release of iPhone 7 in September.
