'Doctor Strange' will debut its official trailer during Jimmy Kimmel's Marvel week ahead of its scheduled release for November 2016. Benedict Cumberbatch's Sorcerer Supreme is rumored to make a special appearance in the post-credits scene for 'Captain America: Civil War'.
According to Deadline, the official trailer for Marvel's live-action adaptation of 'Doctor Strange' will make its debut on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'. The move is part of a weeklong superhero special that will feature various Marvel characters and upcoming films.
Some cast members of 'Captain America: Civil War' will head to the studio on April 11 and includes Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd and Anthony Mackie. They play characters that are part of "team Captain America". Robert Downey Jr. and the rest of "team Iron Man" are also scheduled to make an appearance on April 13.
Meanwhile, a new photograph featuring Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange a.k.a. Doctor Strange has recently been released. According to /Film, it showed the 39-year old actor clad in an elaborate costume complete with the Sorcerer Supreme's trademark hair, grey sideburns and goatee with the Eye of Agamotto amulet dangling from his neck.
According to Comic Book, Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange may make his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in a post-credits scene on 'Captain America: Civil War' ahead of his own standalone film's scheduled release on November 2016.
Director Joe Russo teased, "We can't say who is going to be in it but we can say that there certainly could be one, or two, maybe three... We can confirm that you should stay sat in your seats when the movie is done."
'Doctor Strange' is an upcoming fantasy-adventure film featuring Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead role. It is directed by Scott Derrickson with a screenplay by C. Robert Cargill, Thomas Dean Donnelly, Joshua Oppenheimer and Jon Spaihts. It is scheduled to premiere in theaters on November 4, 2016.
