'Attack on Titan' Season 2: Air date by Q4 2016; New Titan shifter revealed, Levi Ackerman to be killed in action?

Anime director Tetsuro Araki shared some details about a Titan shifter who will be introduced in "Attack on Titan" Season 2. While waiting for the official release date, speculations about the upcoming storylines have surfaced online. This includes the death of Levi Ackerman, the revelation of the true founders of The Coordinates, and the battle of the Titans on the Wall Rose.

Anime director Tetsuro Araki has discussed about a Titan shifter named Reiner Braun will be introduced in "Attack on Titan" Season 2. Araki stated, "Reiner's confession created ripples on the undisturbed surface. He is yet to find the perfect manner to lay out Reiner's secret in season 2.

What they are focused now is the risk of leaving unintentional hints for the audience about his identity. Reiner Braun happens to be one of the Titan shifter who transforms into an armored titan in the manga series, Christian Today has reported.

Other than that, Levi Ackerman will allegedly be killed in the sophomore season. According to Day Herald, Levi will die when he goes to save Eren Yeager, Armin Arlert and Mikasa Ackerman. Levi is one of the main protagonists of the Hajime Isayama-created anime series.

Apart from that, while waiting for the official scheduled release of "Attack on Titan" Season 2, many speculations have surfaced which pertain to the upcoming storylines of the anime adaptation. Such speculated storylines include the revelation of the true founders of The Coordinates, and the battle of The Titans on Wall Rose which is lead by Captain Erwin Smith, Yibada has cited.

As of now, the production for the anime adaptation is currently underway. No exact release date for "Attack on Titan" Season 2 has been announced by the anime series creator and director just yet. However, speculations suggest that the anime series will premiere during the latter months of 2016.
