The official release date of "Attack on Titan" Season 2 might be delayed due to the suspension of its production. According to Movie Pilot, animator Hajime Isayama and director Tetsuro Araki agreed that the manga should be four story arcs ahead of the anime adaptation at all times so as to keep up with the story flow.
As of now, the manga is only two story arcs ahead. This means that there are still two story arcs to be completed before the production begins. Because of that, Araki and Isayama decided to temporarily suspend the production.
The plotlines for the sophomore season will feature the 104th Trainees Squad as they go head to head with the Titans. In addition, Eren Yeager's secret for his Titan-like capabilities will be revealed, Bitbag reports.
