After making a cameo appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Ezra Miller is set to appear as the titular character in The Flash solo film. However, producer Deborah Snyder hinted that he could be joined by another Justice League hero in his upcoming DCEU outing.

The recent Batman v Superman teased the meta-humans which included several other heroes in the shared DC universe, one of which was Miller's The Flash. As reported by Bustle, Miller is set to play as the Barry Allen version of the hero who acquired his powers after being struck by lightning while working on the case of his father who was accused of killing his mother.

Plot details for the solo film are still unknown but according to Screen Crush, BvS producer Deborah Snyder hinted that The Flash could be joined by fellow Justice League hero Cyborg in the film. "As you can imagine, when we get to the Flash movie, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher - who plays Cyborg - are kind of our youngest characters, and they have a really nice comradery [sic] with each other. Ezra is super funny, so the tone of that film will be very different than the rest of them." Snyder said.

Whether the statement was bound to be a confirmation of the Cyborg's appearance, Snyder's words seem to indicate that the solo films to be released for both heroes could go for a lighter tone compared to other movies.

However, it is also worth noting that Deborah Snyder was not the first to talk about the project's tone as Zack Snyder also spoke about the film when asked Grant Gustin was not chosen to play the character of The Flash in the DCEU. Zack Snyder said that the tone of the series does not match the tone they are aiming for the film.

Meanwhile, as reported by IGN, producer Charles Roven previously that the upcoming The Flash and Aquaman films will not be origin stories but will instead pick up after the events of Justice League. "While each movie stands alone, they're all part of one long arc of storytelling,", Roven said.

Miller's Barry Allen is expected to appear next in the upcoming Justice League film before starring in his solo film. Aside from Ezra Miller, no other actors have been confirmed to join The Flash solo film yet which is set to be directed by Seth Gramahe-Smith. The Flash solo film is set to hit theaters on March 16, 2018.
