‘Vikings’ season 4 spoilers: Ragnar’s leadership questioned for failure to attack Paris; King hatches new plan in Episode 8

'Vikings' season 4 episode 8 spoilers reveal that despite all the blames, Ragnar is not too easy to accept defeat. The king is now formulating new strategy that hopefully will help them win Paris and defeat Rollo.

In the previous episode of 'Vikings' season 4, Ragnar and his troop have failed to conquer Paris in the 1st attack. Rollo seems to have won the 1st encounter. But he knew that his brother still planning another strategy to defeat him.

While Rollo affirms that the battle is not yet over, Ragnar's troops are already questioning the capabilities of their head. According to Movie News Guide, Ragnar's son Bjorn Lothbrok criticizes his father after losing the battle against Rollo's French army. He finds his father's leadership disgraceful.

Aside from Bjorn, Harald is also blaming Ragnar for the Northmen's recent defeat. According to Design & Trend, Harald is taking the opportunity to scrutinize the leader and to brew something against Ragnar. He has always been eyeing on Ragnar's throne ever since. He probably wants to prove everyone that he has what it takes to lead the Viking troop.

According to Christian Today, Ragnar seems to take his defeat as inspiration to try something new. As stated in the released synopsis of 'Vikings' season 4 episode 8, Ragnar unveils an "ingenious" plan. The publication speculates that the plan has something to do with the transferring of boat and its cargo in the middle of two seaworthy waters. It appears that the King of Denmark is carrying something before they attack Paris.

Moreover, the events in Episode 8 will be carried over to the next 2 episodes. As read in Episode 9 synopsis, Ragnar and his men will get positive results. And in Episode 10, an epic battle between Ragnar and Rollo will come to an end.
