EP Nancy Pimental has finally responded to the issues if Dermot Mulroney will still be a part of "Shameless" Season 7. The upcoming installment is expected to premiere around January 2017 on Showtime. The recap of the finale episode 'Familia Supra Gallegorious Omnia' is also made available here for fans who have missed to wach it.

Showrunner Nancy Pimental discussed with TV Line if Dermot Mulroney will still be a part of "Shameless" Season 7. Pimental revealed stating, "We just started talking about Season 7, so I don't have any specifics yet. It's like real life versus fictional life. Obviously, Dermot got a pilot, so that might inform how much we do with them. We, are entertaining more stories with them, but they kind of go hand in hand. As of now, its the end of them for sure."

With that being said, Showtime officially confirmed that "Shameless" has been picked up for a Season 7 renewal. According to Hollywood Hills, upcoming plot spoilers are coming up. However, the official premiere date is yet to be announced.

For a quick recap of "Shameless" Season 6 finale episode (episode 12) "Familia Supra Gallegorious Omnia", TV Over Mind reported that Debbie Gallagher (Emma Kenney) showed up at the church with nurse Franny (Bridgid Coulter); Ian Gallagher (Cameron Monaghan) brought Caleb (Jeff Pierre) in his home and introduced him to his family.

Frankie finally exposed that Sean Pierce (Dermot Mulroney) is a practicing junkie. Because of that, Sean felt desperate on keeping his son with him. Lip Gallagher (Jeremy Allen White) followed his professor's advise and admitted himself in the rehabilitation center; Carl Gallagher (Ethan Cutkosky) has changed for the better and became a somewhat upstanding citizen.

As of now, the official scheduled launch of "Shameless" Season 7 has not been announced by the network and the showrunners just yet. However, speculations suggest that the show will premiere on January 2017 first and exclusive on Showtime.

"Shameless" is an American comedy drama TV series developed by John Wells. The storyline serves as a remake of Paul Abbott's British series under the same name.
