'NCIS' officially renewed for two more seasons; Agent DiNozzo faces identity theft in Season 13 'Charade' episode

CBS president Glenn Geller officially announced that "NCIS" has been extended for seasons 14 and 15. That said, "24" alum Sarah Clarke who has been cast for the 2 final episodes of season 13 will return as a series regular in the next installment. Also, the official plot description of episode 20 'Charade' has been revealed.

CBS Entertainment president Glenn Geller officially announced that "NCIS" Season 13 has been extended for seasons 14 and 15. Gelle stated via TV Over Mind, "Its extraordinary that in its 13th season and with over 300 episodes to its credit, NCIS continues to excel at such a high level on a global scale. It's testimony to an amazing cast, led on and off the screen by the exceptional Mark Harmon for skilfully bringing this team of heroes to life."

Other than that, "24" alum Sarah Clarke has been cast for the 2 final episodes of "NCIS" Season 13 and will hold an option to be a series regular in season 14. According to TV Line, the 44-year-old American veteran actress will portray the role of FBI Special Agent Tess Monroe. Monroe happens to be a multiple divorcee woman with no children.

As for the official plot description of episode 20, Carter Matt notes, "Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo's (Michael Weatherly) good reputation will be ruined as he faces identity theft against numerous perpetrators. The fraud Agent DiNozzo who uses his identity begin coercing Senators. Fortunately, the NCIS team backs him up to solve DiNozzo's case and restore his reputation."

"NCIS" Season 13 Episode 20 is entitled as "Charade". The series is scheduled to return with its forthcoming episode on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. first and exclusive on CBS.

"NCIS" is an American police procedural drama TV series created by Donald P. Bellisario and Don McGill. The storyline follows the fictional team of special agents from the Naval Crime Investigative Service which conducts investigations in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
