OnePlus One Receives Custom Marshmallow Upgrade Support via Exodus ROM: How to Install

OnePlus One phones received custom upgrade support for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow via Exodus ROM. Exodus comes with both of Marshmallow's original and aftermarket features.

OnePlus One phones can now be manually updated to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow using the Exodus custom ROM. Exodus is a brand-new firmware packed with a good number of customization options. The ROM runs fast, smooth and stable.

Installing custom ROMs entails risk on the device. Take note that proceeding with the process will void device warranty. In case of damages, neither this site nor the developers of Exodus will be held responsible of such damage.

Before installing this ROM on OnePlus One, do the following prerequisites first:

  • Root phone.
  • Install custom recovery like CWM or TWRP.
  • Back up all necessary data.
  • Performa wipe Dalvik Cache wipe before leaving the Recovery mode.

Below is the step-by-step guide to download and install Exodus on OnePlus One:

1. Download on PC the Android 6.0.1 Exodus Marshmallow here.

2. Connect phone to PC using the USB cable.

3. Copy then paste downloaded ROM to phone's memory or SD card.

4. Switch off phone and plug it out from the PC.

5. Go to Recovery Mode by press holding volume up, home and power buttons.

6. Choose 'Wipe' to delete of data and 'Swipe to Factory Reset'.

7. Go to Advance and choose 'Wipe cache/dalvik' button.

8. Go to main menu and choose 'Install'. Choose the copied ZIP file on the phone.

9. Choose 'Swipe to Confirm Flash'.

10. Wait for the installation to complete then go to +++++Go Back+++++.

11. Choose 'Reboot System'.

Check the new software version now.
