OnePlus 2 Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow + OxygenOS 3.0 Soak Test Pushed Out: Exciting Features Up for Grabs

OnePlus 2 is finally bound for the official release of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow as soak test just began pushing out. Release date can now be expected coming up in a couple of weeks.

OnePlus 2 device owners should now be glad to hear that their phones are finally proceeding to the official release of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. According to Team Android, OnePlus 2 is slated to receive the official upgrade "very soon."

The device is widely known to be running on OxygenOS. This makes the Marshmallow release more exciting with features that might be out of the box. This future update is part of OxygenOS's, incorporating the Android build to spice up developments in software industry.

Per screen shots released, OnePlus 2 will experience more than what the Vanilla user interface has. Some of the leaked features are a slider for alerts, new wallpapers, new priority settings, latest security patch level and a lot of customization options on the home screen.

Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update comes in phases through push notifications. Make sure device is charged up to at least 50% to prevent power interruption and storage should have enough space.

Although there are still no concrete details which Marshmallow and OxygenOS will make it to the upgrade for OnePlus 2, features and tweaks might include mobile payment, web experience, battery management, user interface, and connectivity, among others.

Specifically, with Marshmallow, the update comes with Custom Chrome tabs which is one the most popular features of Marshmallow. Click a link and a Chrome tab will automatically pop up. Users do not have to launch the browser itself.
