The Coalition's Gears of War 4 has been waited on by many fans of the series. It was recently a hot topic all over the web as to what story the game will take, and the entire development team will head to the true things that the title is to bring.
According to Game Rant, Gears of War 4 is said to no longer follow the first three games of the franchise, and will instead take on a whole new story line on itself. The Coalition spoke of the plans they have for the title in terms of a promised plot and the possibility of a whole new trilogy from here on out.
It was reported by Game Spot that creative director Chuck Osieja stated that the idea of moving forward for Gears of War 4 is quite reasonable to expand to a much larger universe. The story is said to transpire many years after the third installment, wherein the protagonists will be a new generation of heroes to take on other entities within such universe.
CNET delivered that Studio Head Rod Fergusson was quoted on his explanation, saying, "We talked about things like alternate planets and things like that, but we wanted to stay on Sera because we wanted to have the opportunity revisit old places and use specific weapons, to have these touchstones to the past. That's when we decided 'let's go all the way forward, let's put enough time in and have a new generation of heroes and create JD Fenix, Marcus's son.
They're outsiders, a sort of splinter faction for people who didn't want to live under the oppression of the new COG. I think you see the COGs as adversaries, I wouldn't say enemies as that's a little strong."
Gears of War 4 is slated to launch completely by fall of 2016, wherein a beta will be conducted within April. Keep posted for more news on The Coalition's first of a trilogy in the form of Gears of War 4.
