Episode 8 of 'Black Sails' season 3 showcased the battle between Vane and Woodes. According to CarterMatt, it was a showdown that many viewers would hope to happen. Aside from that, the previous episode also brought good scenes including big Jack/Vane trade off, as well as Eleanor's moment with Vane.
Previous episode also featured Rogers being sent by England to check on Nassau and to conquer the pirate haven by working as its governor.
The main focus of 'Black Sails' season 3 episode 9 is the preparation of Captain Flint battle against Woodes Rogers and the British Royal Navy over the Nassau. He is going to hear that Rogers is sending the British Royal to attack the Nassau pirates. This makes him decide to duke it out on the high seas.
According to Fashion & Style, Captain Flint prepares his army and tells them that they only have a week to prepare for the battle. While it seems a hopeless cause, there is a chance that he could win the war. In the sneak peek, it seems like Edward 'Blackbeard' Teach is approaching on a ship during the battle. This could mean that Blackbeard will help Captain Flint fight Rogers and the navy.
It is also spoiled that Eleanor gave England an advice that if they let Captain Flint lead the war, Rogers is going to lose. Episode 9 may also see if Eleanor will get away from England and back to the pirates.
