No more ‘Person of Interest’ Season 6; Season 5 concludes series, premieres May 3rd

By

The same day CBS announced that 'Person of Interest' season 5 premieres on May 3rd, the network confirmed that it will conclude the whole series. After many speculations in the internet, no more season 6 for this show.

CBS was quick to put a sad story after they have delighted fans about season 5 premiere date. The very same day, the network revealed that the upcoming season will conclude 'Person of Interest'. Many were, in fact, disheartened hearing the season 6 cancellation.

According to IGN, 'Person of Interest' season 5 will clean up all the cliffhangers from the previous seasons. This is pretty much what shows do when they knew that they are going to be cut sooner or later. The 'Person of Interest' season 6 cancellation, however, is not a shocking news for some including exec producer J.J. Abrams who previously shared feelings that the 5th season will be the last.

"My guess is it is the final season," Abrams told the reporters at Television Critics Association press tour. "The only heartbreak there is how much good story there was to come if it were to have continued. Jonah [Nolan] and Greg Plageman have done such an amazing job on that show. I know what these episodes are that they're done wrapping it up."

Meanwhile, the final season of 'Person of Interest' will premiere on May 3rd. After the 1st episode, season 5 will air both Mondays and Tuesdays at 10PM until its last episode on Tuesday, June 21 on CBS. It has 13 episodes.

Exec producers Jonathan Nolan and Greg Plageman also shared their thoughts to IGN for the upcoming series finale: "We're extremely excited to be able share this final season with the fans. We're eternally grateful to our amazing cast and crew, as well as our partners at the studio and network. Most of all, we want to thank the show's fans - the best fans in the world. This subversive little paranoia-inducing cyberpunk-thriller is for you and would not have been possible without your support. As life has come to imitate Person of Interest, it's been our great privilege to work on show for the past five seasons. We can't wait for you to experience this thrilling and final chapter."
