'Prison Break' Reboot to air end of 2016; Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell officially confirmed to reprise roles

Lead actors Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell officially reprise their roles as brothers Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows in "Prison Break" Reboot, while 'Royal Pains' alum Mark Feuerstein has been cast to be Dr. Sara's Tancredi's new husband. Also, the official plot description for the episode premiere has been released.

Lead actors Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell officially confirmed that they are going to reprise their roles. Miller and Purcell play the characters of Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows. Michael is the principal character of the series who is creating a plan to break his brother Lincoln out of prison, Cinema Blend has cited.

In addition, "Royal Pains" alum Mark Feuerstein has officially landed a recurring role for "Prison Break" Season 5. According to Ecumenical News, the 44-year-old American actor is slated to recur the character of Doctor Sara Tancredi's new husband, Scott Ness.

Ness is described as a formidable husband who will give Sara the domestic bliss she has been longing for. However, no details have been stated about his full role for the upcoming plotlines.

As for the official plot synopsis of episode 1, Collider noted, "In the drama's new chapter, which picks up after Michael's apparent death, Sara has moved on with her life, raising her and Michael's child with her new husband. When clues surface that suggest Michael may be alive, Sara teams with Lincoln to engineer the series' biggest escape ever."

Callie's character serves as a prison physician in the series. "Prison Break" Reboot is expected to premiere around the end of 2016 or in the beginning of 2017.

"Prison Break" is an American TV serial drama series created by Paul Scheuring. The show revolves around two brothers. One brother that has been sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit while the other devises an elaborate plan to help his brother escape prison and clear his name.
