Microsoft Corporation is predicted to launch the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 earlier than expected. Its predecessor, Microsoft Surface Pro 4, recently received discount, an indication of the imminent release of its successor.

According to The Bitbag, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is a device that many tech enthusiasts have been waiting for. Although there have been few information emerging about the upcoming next generation of the Surface Pro line, the American tech giant's fans are looking forward to the release of the 2-in-1 computer.

Recently, discounts on the Surface Pro 4 was announced, an indication that fans of the company might not wait any longer for the Surface Pro 5's release.

News Every Day noted that Microsoft is giving $100 discount on some Core i5 Surface Pro 4 tablets through the Microsoft Store. The retail price for a Surface Pro 4 that is powered with Core i5, 128GB SSD and 4GB of RAM is now only $899 compared to its normal retail price of $999. Additionally, the Core i5 Surface Pro 4 with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD, which is normally priced at $1,299, is now sold for only $1,199.

Meanwhile MobiPicker cited some of the features and specs that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 carries. The 2-in-1 computer is expected to be equipped with a better battery life, which is probably up to 7 hours, as well as a rechargeable Surface Pen with on/off button, charging terminals, and a light indicator. This device might also feature a 4K display that will enable users to watch 4K video content on the devices and a 13.3-inches display.

Aside from the above mentioned features, tech enthusiasts and Microsoft's fans are expecting that the new Surface Pro 5 will have support for Type-C USB port, given that smartphones nowadays and even MacBook and Google Pixel C already have that feature. There is still no exact release date given but when it comes with the price, the base version of the Surface Pro 5 might get an Intel i5 at $899. Meanwhile the i7-powered variant will cost $999, while the one with an i7 Extreme will be sold at $1,599.
