Microsoft Lumia 650 Specs, Release: Device to Launch in the US Soon

By

Microsoft Corporation has released its newest handset running on Windows 10 Mobile, the Lumia 650. This device has reached other countries overseas and is already anticipated to launch in the US really soon.

According to International Business Times, one of Microsoft's official Twitter handles, @LumiaUS, has posted a message saying the company will provide release details about the Lumia 650 sometime this week. It can be remembered that an earlier report stated that AT&T's pre-paid subsidiary unit Cricket will be selling this handset in the U.S. Soon enough, tech enthusiasts and Microsoft fans will know which other carrier will be offering this wallet-friendly, Lumia 650.

Microsoft Corporation has been marketing the Lumia 650 as an enterprise-centric device that can be purchased in wholesale by companies to give away to its employees. Upon release, the Lumia 650 will become one of the inexpensive devices running Windows 10 Mobile straight out of the box.

When it comes with the design, 3G noted that the Microsoft Lumia 650 puts style first as it is features a plastic back but a metal frame, which is something users almost never see on budget smartphones. It is also something which even many higher end Lumia handsets don't have. At 6.9mm thick, this handset looks great, especially for the money.

As for its screen, the Microsoft Lumia 650 has a 5.0-inch 720 x 1280 display with a pixel density of 297 pixels per inch. Although it is not a flagship sharp, it is a lot better than users could get from some phones at this price point and a good size, too.

Additionally, Phone Arena stated that the Microsoft Lumia 650 is engineered with a Snapdragon 212 chipset carrying a quad-core 1.3GHz CPU that works hand-in-hand with an Adreno 304 GPU. This device is packed with a1GB of RAM along with 16GB of native storage that can be further expanded up to 200GB capacity via microSD slot.

For the camera department, the Lumia 650 is armed with an 8MP rear-facing camera carrying an f/2.2 aperture. On its front is a 5MP selfie snapping shooter that also handles video chats. This handset is powered by a 2000mAh capacity battery.

The Microsoft Lumia 650 is expected to be priced at $200. Nevertheless, consumers will have to wait until Microsoft further details about the availability of this handset in US.
