LG Electronics' current flagship smartphone LG G5 is now available for pre-order in UK for £529. This handset will also become accessible through pre-order in US starting March 18.

According to Neowin, two and a half weeks after LG G5 has been announced, the handset is already available to pre-order in the UK. Although lthough it won't actually start shipping there for a few more weeks.

The Amazon.co.uk is now accepting pre-orders for the device in Titan Grey or Rose Gold. It is priced at £529 GBP (around $750 USD) and is "due to be released on April 8, 2016". This is in-line with earlier reports suggesting that the G5 would be made available in other markets on the same day, which actually shows that LG may be planning a simultaneous international launch.

Aside from UK, International Business Times recently reported that the consumer electronic-based retail company Best Buy has also affirmed that LG G5 pre-order service will go live on March 18 in America. As for the price, there is still no available detail as of the moment but concrete information about LG G5's pricing is expected to be revealed by Friday.

For reference, 9to5Google cited LG G5's specs and features. The new flagship handset from LG features an all-new unibody metal construction, which is a major first for the G-series smartphones. It is armed with a dual camera system on the back made up of a regular 16MP lens with OIS and 4K video, alongside an 8MP wide angle lens. The camera is equipped with a dual flash and laser autofocus sensor whichis a fingerprint scanner and power/sleep button at the same time.

The LG G5 features a 5.3-inch Quad HD display which features an 'Always On' portion in the top third. It is powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to an extra 200GB.

It was also reported that the LG G5 has big advantages over the S7, potentially, like Quick Charge 3.0 and USB Type C support. Both represent the future in I/O and charging technologies, while the Type C opens up a wealth of potential capabilities. The Quick Charge 3.0 means users will get 83% charge in just 30 mins, around 40%+ faster than the Quick Charge 2.0 found in the S7 and S7 Edge. It also has a removable battery, thanks to the innovative modular design which lets users connect some pretty cool looking modules, like the physical camera controls and the B&O DAC unit.

The availability of LG G5 pre-order in the UK only hints it won't be long for the much awaited device to hit the market shelves. Nevertheless, LG patrons in other countries should still wait for further announcements as to when it will arrive in their local stores.
