Samsung Electronics recently unveiled its current flagship handset, Galaxy S7. This device reportedly gave hints to the specification upgrades that the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will carry.
According to Yibada, the Galaxy S7 Edge was unveiled featuring a 5.5-inch screen profile, slightly larger than the regular S7. With this, Samsung has proven that large-screen phones do not necessarily mean problematic handling. Android fans are now anticipating that the same treatment will be seen with the larger Galaxy Note 6, which likely sport the Galaxy Note 5's 5.7-inch screen profile but not its huge build.
The Samsung flagship handsets are known for its beautiful and solid build appearance but another nice feature came back which is the water resistance. It added stability to the already tough casing of aluminum and glass. With the S7 and S7 Edge waterproofed, the buyers of the Note 6 are almost assured that the same protective feature will find its way to the next member of Samsung Galaxy Note family.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is also expected to have an enhanced camera even though the Galaxy S7 receives a downgrade of 12MP main shooter compared to S6's 16MP. But the S7's camera was accompanied by careful fine-tuning of both the hardware and software that results to a powerful snapper that beats the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Such camera prowess will undoubtedly extend to the Galaxy Note 6 and more enhancements are also anticipated.
The upcoming member of the Note family is predicted to borrow the 3600mAh battery of the S7 Edge including its superfast recharging and wireless charging. It is also speculated to have more than 200GB of storage space.
Aside from that, BREATHEcast stated that Samsung might be introducing its first 4K-enabled smartphone via the Galaxy Note 6. The South Korean tech has wanted to make sure that certain features are incorporated on one of its phones or tablets ever since the technology was first released.
Samsung is also expected to add on the usual S-Pen stylus accessory which is touted as the real competitive edge against Apple's "Pencil." Since such gadgets aren't that popular in today's lifestyle, Samsung has added an enhanced security feature on its finger point sensor.
Christian Today noted that Samsung might add a "phablet dock" accessory to the Galaxy Note 6. It is also speculated to feature a massive 6GB RAM in its internals that will be coupled with the latest Exynos chipset. Meanwhile, just like the Galaxy S7 iterations, it is also said that the Galaxy Note 6 will feature a different chipset in each of two versions; one with an Exynos chipset and the other with a Snapdragon processor.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is expected to make its first appearance on August, the very same pattern of its Galaxy Note releases.
