Following the release of its flagship handsets from the Galaxy S line-up, Samsung Electronics is bound to unveil another smartphone from the Galaxy Note series. The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is predicted to make its first appearance on the third quarter of 2016 featuring a 4K display, 256 GB od internal storage and more.

According to PC-Tablet, since the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 belongs to the premium line-up of Samsung, this device is expected to sport impressive and powerful hardware specifications. Usually, the Galaxy Note devices are unveiled during the third quarter of a calendar year, and this tradition is expected to be repeated with the Galaxy Note 6.

Based on some speculations, Samsung is belived to launch both a standard and curved display version of Galaxy Note 6 but the devices will have same specifications. Moreover, the Note 6 will most probably feature an all-metallic build in addition to the S-Pen stylus and a fingerprint sensor.

Christian Today noted that Samsung has announced that the company has just begun its mass production of 256GB UFS 2.0 memory chips. These chips will largely be used as mobile data storage options to contribute to a standard shift within the mobile data storage market.

Joo Sun Choi, Executive Vice President of Memory Sales and Marketing in Samsung Electronics, stated that the company is determined to push the competitive edge in premium storage line-ups - OEM NVMe SSDs, external SSDs, and UFS. This will be done by moving aggressively to enhance performance and capacity in all three markets.

Although Samsung has not confirmed if these chips will be incorporated with its upcoming flagship lineups, the hint may be in one of the integrated features of the chip itself. Samsung stated that one of the primary functions of these new chips is to facilitate 4K content in high-end large-screen mobile devices.

Aside from the huge 256 GB chips and 4K display, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is also expected to feature a huge 6 GB of RAM. It is also worth mentioning that none of the major smartphone manufacturers have launched a smartphone with such amount of RAM. The Note 6 is expected to be launched in two CPU editions, one featuring an Exynos 8890 chipset and the other one powered by a Snapdragon 820 chip.

The Galaxy Note 6 might have a hybrid SIM slot that will also carry support for up to 2 TB of microSD. For the camera department, it might have a12-megapixel camera that is coupled with "Super OIS Plus" feature including a 5-axis OIS system. This technology will be able to shoot stunning photos in dim lighting conditions.

Since the Galaxy Note 5 is packed with 3000 mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is rumored to arrive armed with around 3500 to 4000 mAh battery. It is expected to have a phablet dock feature that allows users to fit the Note 6 into the dock present on a laptop like device. The high-end processor, 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB UFS 2.0 storage would power the laptop. The screen of the handset will function as a touchpad and when the Note 6 is connected to the dock, the laptop will run on Windows 10.
