Samsung Galaxy S4 receives software update support to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop via Cri5 custom ROM. Cri5 offers the 2014 smartphone with Samsung's own TouchWiz user interface and a lot more.

Samsung Galaxy S4 with model number I9500 is the latest device to receive the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop support from Cri5 custom ROM. Cri5 promises to bring in more great features to enjoy with and customization options at the hand of the device owners.

Further, consider the following notes before installing the ROM:

1. Use only Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500. Using other variant may cause severe damage to phone.

2. Install TWRP Recovery here.

3. Back up all necessary data here.

4. Download a USB driver here.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to download and install Android 5.1.1 Cri5 Lollipop on Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500:

1. Download Android 5.1.1 Cri5 ROM Lollipop ROM on PC.

2. Connect phone to PC using the USB cable.

3. Copy then paste downloaded ROM to phone's memory or SD card.

4. Switch off phone and plug it out from the PC.

5. Go to Recovery Mode by press holding volume up, home and power buttons.

6. Once in TWRP Recovery, choose 'Wipe' to delete of data and 'Swipe to Factory Reset'.

7. Go to main menu and choose 'Install'. Choose the copied ZIP file on the phone.

8. Choose 'Swipe to Confirm Flash'.

9. Wait for the installation to complete.

10. When phone gets into any boot loops or other troubles, tap 'Wipe cache/dalvik' button.

11. Choose 'Reboot System'.

Verify software version at Settings > About phone.
