Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE G900F Receives Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow via VRToxin Custom ROM: Update Guide

Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE with model number G900F just got support for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow via VRToxin custom ROM. This ROM has been made available already to several Galaxy S5 units, bringing powerhouse features and tweaks for the smartphone.

VRToxin custom ROM has been unlocked to Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE phones with model number G900F. The ROM is proven to run stable, fast and smooth. VRToxin comes with a host of unique custom features on top of some originals.

To ensure customer responsibility over the device, Galaxy S5 owners interested to proceed with the upgrade are advised to install the ROM at their own risk as it may damage device. Such damage cannot be held against this site or the ROM's developers. Most importantly, do not use this ROM to any device not prescribed.

Below are the prerequisites of installing ROMs:

1. Install TWRP Recovery here.

3. Back up all necessary data here. Samsung KIES can also be used for backup.

4. Download USB driver here.

To download and install Android 6.0.1 VRToxin Marshmallow to Samsung Galaxy S5 G900F:

1. Download on PC the Android 6.0.1 VRToxin here and Google Apps here.

2. Connect phone to PC using the USB cable.

3. Copy then paste downloaded ROM to phone's memory or SD card.

4. Switch off phone and plug it out from the PC.

5. Go to Recovery Mode by press holding volume up, home and power buttons.

6. Choose 'Wipe' to delete of data and 'Swipe to Factory Reset'.

7. Go to Advance and choose 'Wipe cache/dalvik' button.

8. Go to main menu and choose 'Install'. Choose the copied ZIP file on the phone.

9. Choose 'Swipe to Confirm Flash'.

10. Wait for the installation to complete then go to +++++Go Back+++++.

11. Choose 'Reboot System'.

Check the new software version on Settings > About phone.
