The upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to show an older and shabbier Bruce Wayne who is forced to go back into action after the horrific events brought by Superman's fight against Zod. However, more of the Caped Crusader's history is expected to be revealed in his upcoming solo outing which could also expound more on his relationship with the fallen Robin.

The world has come to know about Superman's Kal-El in the 2013 feature Man of Steel, and now Gotham's Bruce Wayne a.k.a. Batman is set to star in his upcoming solo movie currently, which could be directed by Ben Affleck himself. Official details about the project are currently unknown.

However, as reported by Cinema Blend, Geoff Johns stated that the upcoming project would focus more on the tragedies in Batman's life, including Robin's fate before Batman V Superman. "We'll be exploring that, no one says specifically the name of which Robin that is.", Johns said.

According to Techno Buffalo the A Death in the Family storyline is possible for the upcoming film which sees the death of Jason Todd. But the possibilities are also not small for the suit in the Batman v Superman trailer to have been owned by Dick Grayson, or the other Robins.

Even with the demand for new details on the Batman solo film, Comic Book reported that Affleck has remained firm that he is approaching his pending projects one at a time. "It's in development, and right now I'm really focused on finishing Live By Night", he said. "That's where my focus is, and I tend to be a one movie at a time guy. So, when I'm finished with this movie, I'll then focus on my next movie and figure out what that will be.", Affleck added.

The official release date for the anticipated Batman solo film is currently unknown but more details about the project are expected to be revealed when production begins. Affleck will first appear as Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice directed by Zack Snyder. It is set to hit theaters in March 26.
