Chinese companies like Xiaomi and Lenovo are major contributors in the smartphone market. Both offer a wide range of powerful yet affordable smartphones around the globe. Based on the report from Gizbot, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus will compete head-to-head as soon as they go on sale in India.

International Business Times compared the specifications of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 with those of the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 (also called as Redmi Note 3 Pro) takes the lead with several features not present in the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus, such as a fingerprint scanner and dual-SIM support. It also touts a more powerful Snapdragon 650 processor compared to Lenovo's Snapdragon 616 chip.

However, Lenovo has announced that Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS will be available soon for the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus. Xiaomi's newest phone will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Both phones share similar features such as full-metal body designs and 4G LTE support.

In terms of battery, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 packs a bigger 4,000 mAh power cell that can last for up to 264 hours on standby. Lenovo's latest flagship comes with a smaller battery with 2750 mAh capacity. The Vibe K5 Plus' battery is removable unlike the Redmi Note 3.

Meanwhile, Lenovo is set to launch its all-new Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus on March 15. Customers can opt to buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus in silver, gray, and gold colors.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 users have an option to buy the 2GB RAM/16GB memory variant priced at Rs. 9,999 or the 3GB RAM/32GB storage version which costs Rs. 11,999. On the other hand, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus has a price tag of approximately Rs 10,240.
