The Xiaomi Mi 5 white version has landed and is now for sale in China starting March 1. The new Xiaomi smartphone is expected to launch in India soon.

Xiaomi has put the Xiaomi Mi 5 for its first official sale in China today, a week after it was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2016. Based on GSMArena's report, the Xiaomi Mi 5 is temporarily only offered in white color. Users can opt to buy a 3GB RAM/32GB ROM variant or a 3GB RAM/64GB ROM model of the Xiaomi Mi 5 white version. It seems that Xiaomi has not yet released the black edition and the ceramic version of the Mi 5 for sale. Fans are still waiting for Xiaomi's official announcement of when these versions will be available for purchase.

The powerful specifications, intrinsic design, and useful features of the Xiaomi Mi 5 caught the attentions of fans and gadget lovers alike. At the end of the registration, GizmoChina reported that around 16.8 million users had registered for the Xiaomi Mi5 flash sale in just 5 days, a new record for the company. Xiaomi has set the trend in China with its powerful smartphone that has an affordable price tag.

According to a report by International Business Times, the price for the Xiaomi Mi 5 varies per model. The Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro costs ¥2699, the 64GB model costs ¥2299, and the 32GB variant is priced at ¥1999. With the success of the Xiaomi Mi 5 in China, Xiaomi VP Hugo Barra officially announced that the device will be released in India soon but with no official date yet. It is still unknown if Xiaomi's latest flagship smartphone will be launched in the United States and Europe.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 has received tremendous responses from gadget lovers from China. Fans can expect a lot from the next-generation of devices from Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi.
