'Terminator Genisys 2' is behind its schedule for production and as a result, fans might see the film released later than the initial May 2017 premiere schedule. Despite this, some of the cast, like 'Game of Thrones' star Emilia Clarke, are still positive on the outcome of the 'Terminator Genisys 2.'

Emilia Clarke, who plays the role of Sarah Connor, is still thrilled about the sequel, as reported by Korea Portal. Clarke stated that she liked the movie when she was a kid. Furthermore, she said that she found her character to be lovable.

Matt Smith also seems to be optimistic about the sequel though the film's release has been delayed, according to Den of Geek. Smith still thinks that there is still a possibility that 'Terminator Genisys 2' will be picked up in the future. Smith has a contract that he will appear in the trilogy of 'Terminator' movies.

Dana Goldberg, Skydance chief creative officer, said during an interview that they are doing re-adjustments with their plans in the sequel. Though the initial plan was that its production will start early this year, it was unfortunately postponed. However, Goldberg reassured the followers of the film that they will not be left hanging.

As previously reported, the first film was not received well by the audience. 'Terminator Genisys' has been given negative reviews and its earnings were reportedly low. Now, the planned sequels are already facing obstacles even on its early stage of development. Reports have it that works on 'Terminator Genisys 3' have come to a halt recently. However, no official statements were made about this issue.

'Terminator Genisys' was initially released during 2015. The movie supposed to be followed by two other films. The story of Terminator Genisys is about the encounter of humans and Skynet and their conquest to defeat one another.
