Apple may equip the iPhone 7 with a powerful dual-camera system. Rumors leak the iPhone 7's possible specs and release date.
An interesting rumor says that Apple might install a high-caliber dual-camera setup on its upcoming flagship phone, the iPhone 7. As reported by BGR, this feature of the iPhone 7 would be useful to professional photographers and camera enthusiasts. However, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo made it clear that only users of the iPhone 7 Plus and other premium iPhone editions will enjoy both a single and dual-camera system.
This could be a disappointment to some Apple fans. However, the iPhone 7 may totally not lag behind with its features. Lawyer Herald said that Apple will launch an improved iPhone 7 with impressive functionalities and specs.
Chase Fromm, an iOS code, said that the iPhone 7 may be capable of Li-Fi transmission technology. This was further suggested on hints of Li-Fi spotted in the iOS 9 code. It might mean that Apple is exploring to add Li-Fi support to the next iPhone. However, it seems that this technology is still on its testing stage and may not make it to the final iPhone 7.
Other particular specs may include a noise-cancellation system, wireless charging, waterproof capability, and improved 3D Touch, as per Mac Rumors. There could also be a Lightning port compatible with the latest Lightning cables. There are reports saying that the iPhone 7 will have no headphone jack.
Design-wise, the iPhone 7 is said to be 1mm thinner than the iPhone 6s. The phone might also sport the same aluminum build although some suggest that Apple will use new materials for its body.
The possible target release of the iPhone 7 may be scheduled on September 2016 on Apple's annual event. It may launch along with the Apple Watch 2, iPad Air 3, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 2016, and iPhone 6C.
