The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine to Get an All New Plot, Characters, Area and Soundtrack, Says Composer

By

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Blood and Wine expansion will take players to a new land untainted by war with 20 hours of adventure and with an excellent soundtrack composed by three excellent game composers.

In a recent report by PCGamesN, Marcin Przybylowicz who is the composer on The Witcher 3 and Mikolai Stroinski who is the composer for The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and Piotrek Musial who is a composer for This War of Mine will be collaborating on the soundtrack for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Blood and Wine expansion.

"The three of us are working on the music for Blood and wine, and it will be completely new. We're not using any pieces that were written before, because we get a completely new area, new characters, and a new plot," said Przybylowicz in an interview with GamePressure as quoted by PCGamesN. "They deserve to have their music written from scratch," Przybylowicz added.

The report added that since Toussaint is a peaceful land compared to the war torn Velen of The Witcher 3, the soundtrack would require a change of mood from the usual adventures.

"It will be less depressing than what you know from Velen. On the other hand, if you played Witcher 3 or the first expansion, you know well that nothing in this universe is that colorful, and there will be some grime involved. [The] music will have that grime too," says Przybylowicz.

Blood and Wine will be Geralt's last adventure with an unparalleled enemy and a complex story that fans will love and described by CD Projekt Red to be "better than the main game."

GameSpot notes Senior Writer Jakub Szamalek's statement in an interview with Eurogamer Italy who said that they created a a unique and memorable enemy for Geralt Blood and Wine and also said that they made a complex storyline which they believe that most if not all fans of the Wild Hunt will appreciate.

Blood and Wine is the second and final expansion for the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt releasing in the first half of 2016 for $25 for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
