Tekken 7: Fated Retribution is gearing up towards its much awaited release July of this year in Japan as it appeared in two recently concluded conventions this month. A new gameplay footage of the latest expansion has also surfaced online which features an intense fight between Dragunov and Akuma.
As reported by Latin Post, Tekken 7: Fated Retribution made an appearance in two separate conventions. First was during the Wizard World Comic Con in Portland where Bandai Namco and Wizard World, Incorporated allowed Tekken fans to get their hands on the game's expansion last February 19-21. Secondly, it was also showcased in Japan Amusement Expo (JAEPO) 2016.
Meanwhile, a new gameplay footage lasting for 20 minutes has been showcased from the game conventions. Notorious Tekken aficionados Nobi and Tokido exhibited an epics fight between Dragunov and Akuma. The said clip showed off Akuma' s power attacks. Akuma is known as the most powerful characters to many gamers of Street Fighter video game series.
Despite his immense power, he, like any hero, has a weakness which was seen in the same footage where Dragunov was able to draw a good match against formidable Akuma and knock him down.
Fans first saw the Street Fighter character in first trailer release for Tekken 7: Fated Retribution prompting the crossover happening between the two popular brawler games, Street Fighter and Tekken. It is confirmed, however, that the said crossover will feature Akuma as the single SF character to be included in Tekken 7: Fated Retribution.
"Right now, Akuma is the only one we have planned, senior game designer Michael Murray said."Harada [Game Producer Katsuhiro Harada] and I have always been against guest characters because it kinda throws off the Tekken world and setting."
Tekken 7: Fated Retribution is announced to hit the arcade version July of this year in Japan.
