The newest installation of the Android series is still on Google's hideout. Rumors coming from an Android developer have already circulated though, revealing certain clues regarding the upcoming version, intially called Android 7.0 N.

Based on the leaked screenshots, the new OS comes with a hamburger menu at the left upper corner of the settings menu. It's quite obvious that this menu system is not part of the current Marshmallow OS and speculations have come out that it is the new Android N.

Experts, on the other hand, speculates that it could be a trial version of what Google will release in the coming months. But based on the history of how Google release its software, there is a pretty big chance that it will be the same concept as the Android N.

Another cluethe post gave out is that the Android N already supports day and night themes which are one of the speculated features of the newest version and there is a pretty big chance that phones this year will certainly sport the newest android system, as per Tech Times.

Experts, however, noticed that the new Android N doesn't come with an app drawer. According to Ubergizmo, Google is not the only one that removed their app drawer. Samsung and LG both did the same thing with their phones.

As reported by Thai Visa, as an open source, smartphone manufacturers are free to change and tweak the looks of the OS any way they see fit. They also noted that a number of smartphone manufacturers like Huawei ad Xiaomi are dropping off the app drawers on their phones.

Enthusiasts pointed out though that that the navigation drawer is not the main reason why the Android N is making headlines. Unique features like Split Screen and Multiwindow with an improved tablet and stylus support are worth noting with the new system.

The company is expected to reveal the Android N on Google's I/O 2016. It will happen in May and will be held at the Shoreline Amphitheatre, in the company's hometown of Mountain View. Sundar Pichai is giving the task to the public in naming the latest Android via an online poll.
