NBC Universe Vice Chairman Ron Meyer revealed that his role is not done yet and that they they have tapped his younger brother, Cody, to take his place, one more time. It is notable that O'Conner didn't die in the last scene as he only departed to focus on his family with Mia Toretto.

The actress is currently attached to "The Gray Man" and joining the squad in Fast and Furious 8 could be included in her schedule.
