Texas football coach and former player Charlie Strong released his statement on Sunday after he was summoned to the court as part of a Kentucky divorce legal case. The case involves University of Louisville trustee Jonathan Blue and his wife, who were currently on a divorce proceedings.
According to Chron, Charlie Strong says, the case he involved in will not affect his focus in any way. Strong was reportedly subpoenaed on Saturday, over Louisville trustee's Jonathan Blue divorce case, stating that the Longhorn coach was a "critical witness". Blue's representing lawyer filed a motion to order Strong to testify for his case.
The said motion also ordered him to surrender his cell phone, record of 2012 phone bills, travel records as well as the things that link between him and Blue's wife, Tracy Blue. Other added ordered things to turn over are a Movado watch, jewelry, shoes and other clothing given to him by the trustee's wife, Yahoo News reported.
On his issued statement he said, "I was recently given information regarding a marital dispute between a couple in Louisville. I'm not a party to their divorce and have received no court order in this case. I certainly respect the legal system, and if I do receive a court order, I will review it and respond then." Strong also refused to disclosed further details regarding the case.
Mike Perrin, Texas athletic director also released his statement regarding Strong's involvement on a divorce case. He said he trust Strong that he will remain focused on the Longhorns. "He is doing an outstanding job as our head coach and I continue to support those efforts as he prepares for the 2016 season," Burnt of Orange Nation quoted.
Strong served as head coach at Louisville from 2010 to 2013. He has spent the last 25 months at UT. While, the Blues was married in 1998 and now are involved in a custody legal battle for their two teenaged daughters.
