Underworld will certainly surprise everyone as 'Once Upon A Time' season 5 returns on March 6. Latest cast update reveals that a familiar important character is bound to comeback and may open up wounds from the past and/or provide closure for some characters. Michael Raymond-James reprises role as Neal in midseason premiere.
'Once Upon A Time' will take viewers to a whole new world as it returns soon. Underworld will welcome heroes Emma, Regina, Mary Margaret, Robin, David, Henry and Gold with some surprises. And this time, a new recurring character is set to make a comeback.
According to Hypable, Neal is coming to 'Once Upon A Time' season 5 as midseason premiere airs. Although Neal/Baelfire comeback was already speculated before, TVLine has just confirmed his return. It was known that Michael Raymond-James' return to the show was treated with great secrecy. In fact, his scenes were mostly filmed indoors to get away from the paparazzi. But during their shoot in Vancouver, Neil's comeback was initially spoiled when the music director accidentally twitted a photo with a title "Neal's warning" and a castmate's post on Instagram which was deleted right away.
CarterMatt discusses that Neal's comeback may open up the wounds from the past, especially between him and Emma. The two has a lot to catch up on. But it will also provide a closure for them. For now, it is not clear what Baelfire is really all up to.
Aside from Neal, it was previously reported that Cora and Peter Pan will be seen in the Underworld. It was also speculated that a new face will be joining the cast when it premieres soon. Rumor has it that Costas Mandylor has been added to the cast as Captain Silver. The reason for his appearance is yet to be known. But it was rumored that it has to do with Killian Jones.
