'One Punch Man' Season 2 confirmed underway for a possible Winter 2016 release date; Saitama to be killed by new nemesis Amai Mask?

Creator Murata Yusuke has announced that the highly anticipated "One Punch Man" Season 2 is currently underway and there is a possibility that the series will air around November or December 2016. Furthermore, the upcoming installment will feature the Hero Hunter arc and Saitama will be battling against a new nemesis named Handsome Kamen Amai Mask.

Anime illustrator and creator Murata Yusuke officially stated that the production team behind the hit anime series is working hard to come up with a definitive "One Punch Man" Season 2. Yusuke also teased that if the storyline goes well, there is a higher possibility that the upcoming installment would be released around November or December this year, Christian Today reports.

With that being said, the next storyline will feature the Hero Hunter which introduces Garou or the Human Moster, the most powerful villain in season 2. Garou is viewed as a Mysterious Being by the Hero Association. He also happens to be Bang or Silver Fang's former student and an S class rank 3 hero who was kicked out and was exiled for being involved in a rampage, HNGN has cited.

In addition, Saitama will be battling with a new nemesis in the upcoming installment. According to Ecumenical News, Handsome Kamen Amai Mask will be this season's villain. Amai Mask happens to be the class A rank 1 hero who will blame the class S heroes over the destruction of the city in episode 12.

As of now, the official scheduled launch for "One Punch Man" Season 2 has not been released yet. However, the creator speculated that the anime series will air around November or December of 2016.

"One Punch Man" is an ongoing Japanese webcomic series created by an author using the pseudonym One. The digital manga series serves as a remake which is illustrated by Murata Yusuke.
