The Indian smartphone and electronic companies are slowly gaining ground on the worldwide market. Lava International's sister company Xolo has just revealed one of its flagship phones, the Era 4K.
The Xolo Era 4K measures at 143x71.8x9.2 and only weighs at 157 grams. It has a 5 inch capacitive IPS touchscreen with 16 million color displacement and a 720 X 1280 HD display. The resolution maxes out at 296 pixels per inch. The screen display of the device will be protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with Native Damage Resistance (NDR).
The Era 4K will be powered by a quad-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6735P processor which runs at 1 GHz coupled with Mali-T720 600 MHz for the graphics. The smartphone also has a 2GB DDR3 RAM with an 8GB internal memory which is, of course, upgradeable to 32GB via external microSD card slot.
This device will run on Android's 5.1 Lollipop. No further reports yet if it can be upgraded to the latest v6.0 Marshmallow. All of this hardware specs will be powered by a large 4000mAh Li-ion battery which will be able to run a day or more with moderate use. This is one of the Era 4K's selling point advantage. This smartphone also supports dual-sim technology.
For the camera lovers, the device introduces some new specs in camera technology making it more appealing to the consumers. The Era 4K will sport an 8MP autofocus rear camera with dual LED Flash. It will utilize an OmniVision sensor with 5P Largan Lens and has an f/2.0 aperture. This camera will be backed up by a 5MP front-facing camera also with Omnivision PureCel Sensor with an f/2.2 Aperture.
Additional features for the Era 4K are its 4G and Bluetooth connectivity. It also has an FM radio function, perfect for those music lovers. Out of the box, the device also comes with a flip cover, to protect it from the elements. Available colors for the Era 4K are dark blue and white and will be priced at Rs. 6,499. It will be available starting February 22. 2016.
