‘Ghostbusters’ Update: Studio releases 1st teaser trailer on Valentines; Director speaks up about the remake

Sony Pictures had just released a teaser trailer of the upcoming remake of Ghostbusters. The remake is focused on the female version of the squad featuring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon. Moreover, sources include an interview with the film's director, Paul Feig.

Since it is a year full of remakes, Sony Pictures started marketing the latest film in their roster, the Ghostbusters. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a 28-second teaser was dropped by the studio to give the audience excitement before releasing the full trailer on March 3. The teaser is noted to have been released the same time of February 14, the same date in which Ghostbusters expected the world to end. There are no signs involving the main ladies but there are scenes where chaos ensues. Lastly, the trailer ends with the most iconic phrase, "who you gonna call?"

Moreover, to spice everything up this February, Comingsoon wrote that a teaser poster was partnered with the trailer. Paul Feig's reboot of the Ghostbusters has revealed the poster wherein they're centered it on the main clipart that the franchise is using: the No Ghosts logo. The studio is making its way to promote the upcoming latest film into the audience as they are notifiable to have changed the gender of its protagonists.

Lastly, the director Paul Feig have discussed things with the media in his interview and is reported by Super Hero Hype. Feig told sources that he's having fun with doing and playing the genres he'll be focusing on. He revealed his ideas on what they can improve more in busting ghosts and using paranormal warriors. He's interested on the modern intake of ghosts and paranormal activity indicating that there would be fun in getting a sequel.

Ghostbusters in the 2016 film remake of the classic film of the same name. It will be directed by Paul Feig and will stars four females instead of the original squad of men. The studio has released its teaser trailer following the February 14 date where Ghostbusters expect the world to end. The 28-second teaser proved to give excitement for the audience as Sony Pictures will release the full trailer on March 3. Ghostbusters is scheduled for a July 15 release.
