‘Pirates of the Caribbean 5’ Update: Johnny Depp speaks up on successful role of being Jack Sparrow

Johnny Depp will be forever known as the man who played that pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow, and now, he speaks up about this tremendously successful role he's been given with. More to the updates, Captain Jack Sparrow were given less minutes in the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

With the fifth instalment confirmed, an interview ensued with Johnny Depp regarding the role he's handled for many years as reported by International Business Times. The actor unveiled that the first meeting he's had with the studio, it didn't even last a minute. It was 37 seconds of Depp and his agent Tracey with Disney and Depp told them he's not interested. However, knowing that the actor was not interested, Dick Cook went to the actor and asked him if he's familiar with the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. With this, Depp remembered how the ride was one of his favorites, he agreed to take part in the film.

In a more detailed interview, the Collider reported how Johnny Depp was able to execute the pirate that everybody loves. In the article, Depp stated that his idea of Captain Jack Sparrow was a swashbuckler who comes in and saves the day but he's added a little taste of laughter in his portrayal that led to today. Moreover, he said that he manifested the character through staying in a sauna where he tried to get his 'sea legs' as accurate as possible with those of pirates who spent days on the sea.

Meanwhile, recent updates on the Pirates of the Caribbean 5 reveals that Captain Jack Sparrow is taking less minutes in the film. According to Movie News Guide, Depp is getting less time with his character Jack Sparrow on screen to give larger scale to the villain. This means that audience will get more of Javier Bardem as Captain Salazar who's on a mission to avenge his brother.

Pirates of the Caribbean 5 actor Johnny Depp has spoken out regarding the role he's been portraying the past five films. He's stated in an interview how he ended up being the pirate everyone admires today. Moreover, updates said that Captain Salazar will be the focus of the fifth film indicating less scenes involving Captain Jack Sparrow. Pirates of the Caribbean 5 is expected to be released on May 26, 2017.
