A "Once Upon a Time" Season 5 episode will go back further in time to delve into the backstory of Regina and her half-sister, Zelena, in their much younger selves. Said episode that will focus on the two characters will be aptly titled "Sisters".
Enstarz reports that Ava Acres has been tapped to play the role of a young Regina. She had a recent guest appearance in "Agents of SHIELD". Meanwhile, Isabella Blake-Thomas will be playing Zelena. It has been revealed that Regina as a child was neglected and lonely and her mother's royal status did not interest her at all. Zelena on the other hand, was coming to her own as a magical being whose powers were despised by her father so much.
Zelena has been banished to Oz in the midseason finale and is not expected to appear in the flashbacks. The show's co-creator Edward Kitsis recently said that her being in Oz with Dorothy will have a significant part in the Underworld story according to TV Line.
It has been mentioned that in "Once Upon a Time" Season 5's return however will be the Underworld. Because of Emma's attempt to save Hook there, the possibility of other characters from the afterlife returning to Storybrooke is great.
Josh Dallas who plays Charming, says that Emma and Hookwill discover that some of the people from the Underworld can still be saved and be brought out of it. He could be hinting of a chance that Hook will be returning from the Underworld with other characters in tow. Dallas further revealed that people that viewers don't expect or haven't seen for a while may be seen again in the Underworld story.
Since the show is all about second chances, some evil characters or villains may be making a comeback reports Inquisitr. Kitsis has previously explained that "Once Upon a Time" Season 5b will bring closure on these characters' pasts and how the past could sometimes come back to haunt some people. He also clarified that the Underworld is not hell.
The ABC series will return on March 6 with coincidentally, its 100th episode. Share us what you think of everything that is happening on "Once Upon a Time" so far in the section below.
