"Quantico" star Priyanka Chopra gave away a major spoiler when she revealed in an interview that not all of the characters of the series will be coming out alive after the devastating Grand Central explosion in the winter finale. Sad as the news may be for a lot of fans, it could only mean that there will be new additions to the cast in the coming second half of the season.
According to EW, there are three new characters that will be joining the roster which are Will Olsen (Jay Armstrong Johnson), Iris Chang (Li Jun Li) and Drew Perales (Lenny Platt).They all belong to a class ahead of the original "Quantico" team.
EP Josh Safran and Jake Coburn shared some details on the new characters such as the brainy Will Olsen being socially inept. He previously worked at at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory that speaks very well of his brilliant mind behind the awkward demeanor.
Chang who is from Shanghai, has a stronger personality than Olsen but nevertheless shares the same difficulty in communicating with other people. According to Safran, Chang does not really care about other people's feelings as long as she is able to do what she needs to do for herself. She is a wealthy businesswoman who is beautiful but fierce at the same time.
Meanwhile, Coburn says that ex-NFL player Perales is the charismatic alpha of the trio. Like Chang, he will butt heads with some of the original characters particularly because of his aggressiveness.
Another major spoiler is that there will be a time jump when "Quantico" returns reports TV Series Finale and it will be three months after the explosion. Safran also revealed that a different approach will be used in revealing who died in the bombing. Also, fans will get to find out if anything happened between Alex and Liam.
Before the break, Ryan and his ex Hannah were together for a mission and Alex ended up going with Liam on New Year's Eve according to Fashion n Style. Fans were left wondering if the love triangle will continue onto the second half of "Quantico". Chopra has said in an interview that the problem is not even Hannah but it is Alex herself. She revealed that Alex always runs away from anything that is good for her. Although Alex and Ryan love each other, they can't be together if Alex continues to be her own destruction.
