With the enhancements and improvements seen on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, many are wondering what specs the next generation of iPhone would carry. Apple Inc. is already on a testing stage for a dual-lens camera which is seemingly included on the upcoming iPhone 7.
According to MacRumors, the Taiwan-based Largan Technology as well as Japan- and China-based camera lens manufacturers have delivered dual-lens camera test samples to Apple Inc. This is for probable incorporation with the next-generation iPhone.
It was reported that Largan presently supplies over 60 percent of Apple's smartphone cameras. Predictions are now surfacing that Apple is in search of dual-camera products from other makers to lessen potential risks.
TechnoBuffalo added that the Cupertino-based company might also include a technology from LinX, a small photography-focused enterprise acquired by Apple last year. The dual-lens camera could introduce a number of interesting features, including optical zoom and the ability to refocus a photo after users take it. It may also let the upcoming iPhone generation take ultra high resolution photos.
Nevertheless, BGR reported that this information can notoriously hit-or-miss. But the fact that this report has arrived just days after KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo sent a note to shareholders concerning a probability that a dual-lens camera might be incorporated with the iPhone 7 Plus gives it some credibility.
Based on Kuo's statement, the iPhone 7 Plus might have two variants. The dual-lens camera will be held in reserve for a special model of the iPhone 7 Plus. On the other hand, the second model will feature the standard iSight camera. With that, patrons of the larger display iPhone won't be enforced to experiment with the new dual-camera setup.
However, Apple Inc. hasn't uttered any word yet leaving this information merely a speculation. With this, it is advised that fans of the company should wait for concrete details about the iPhone 7 which might come around soon.
