iPhone 7 Release Expected 6th or 13th of September 2016; Apple Device To Kill Wi-Fi w/ New Ultra Fast Li-Fi Technology

By

After seeing a lot of improvements and enhancements to the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, Apple's patrons are already excited about the release of iPhone 7. The upcoming series of iPhone is believed to feature the Wi-Fi killer dubbed as Li-Fi.

PC Advisor noted that the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus were released on September 9, 2015 while its predecessors, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus debuted on the September 9, 2014. This pattern made tech enthusiasts conclude that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will come on September 9, 2016. However, the 9th of September this year falls on Friday and Apple is most likely to unveil new products on a Tuesday so it is also possible for this to be moved. The release could be anticipated on either Tuesday September 6, 2016, or Tuesday September 13, 2016.

Meanwhile, according to Morning News USA's roundup of iPhone 7 features, the device will have a new and futuristic design. The recently revealed concept showcased an Apple iPhone with borderless display while running on iOS 10. Based on the images, it could be possible for the smartphone to sport a 5.4-inch, 2048×1080 pixel display with the home button already integrated into the screen. The iPhone 7 might also be ditching the lightning connector in place of a new USB-C charging port.

Aside from the above mentioned features, the American tech company has been reportedly working on a ground breaking data transfer technology that could reach up to 224GB per second under lab conditions. With these predictions, the iPhone 7 may arrive with the newest Li-Fi technology, which is believed to be 100 times faster compared to Wi-Fi.

The Li-Fi technology can let users download multiple HD movies in no more than two seconds under lab conditions. Based on some reports, the iOS 9.1 library cache file cites Li-Fi functions on top of software and hardware descriptions.

Apart from Li-Fi, Tech Radar cited the removal of headphone jack as another significant change in the upcoming iPhone 7. Since music has become an important part of how users interact with their smartphone, ditching the headphone jack could be unusual. It is claimed that eliminating the said part is not similar to getting rid of the ability to listen to music on the iPhone but rather improving the experience.

As usual, these features are merely based on rumors and predictions as Apple Inc. is still tight-lipped about the details of the upcoming iPhone 7. Many fans are hopeful that the tech giant will give hints of what features the highly anticipated smartphone will carry soon.
