Although iPhone 7 is expected to arrive on September, a lot of speculations have already made it on the rumor mill. Recently, the upcoming iPhone has been predicted to feature an embedded rear-camera without rear antenna bands.
According to International Business Times, the visible white antenna lines have been part of the iPhone series. It was during the launch timeframe of iPhone 6,when rumors of concealed antenna stripes was rumored. But when the smartphone was released, the lines were still visible. The iPhone 6's successor, the iPhone 6s, also conveyed the same stripes. Now that the American tech giant is slated to release a new version, speculations of the antenna bands' removal have circulated again.
Reports have it that the iPhone 7 will completely not feature antenna stripes across the back of the device. This will give a much-cleaner, full-metal outlook to the handset. On the other hand, contrasting reports claim the tech giant may not remove the stripes and will only conceal them. Nonetheless, the top, bottom and the sides of the handset will still have the pattern.
Aside from the white antenna lines, MacRumors stated that there will be changes on the smartphone's camera as well. The iPhone 7's camera is said to be placed even with the rear casing, facilitated by a thinner camera module. Fresh predictions also indicated that Apple is considering equipping the iPhone 7 Plus with a dual-lens rear camera, but the smaller iPhone 7 is anticipated to include a more traditional snapper.
iDigitalTimes noted that Apple has appeared to adopt a trend of creating a major redesign every four years. It can be remembered that from 2007 to 2010, the original iPhone, plus the 3G and 3GS, can be grouped together as similarly furnished. However, from 2010-2014, the iPhone 4, 4s, 5 and 5s could be considered as another design period.
Based on this observation, the next major iPhone redesign would occur on the iPhone 8 generation. If Apple will follow its past trend of launching a new iPhone No. model every two years, it would be unveiled in 2018.
Moreover, these are just assumptions and are merely based on rumors so Apple fans are advised to take it only as a guide. Hoepfully, the company will soon give concrete details of the upcoming iPhone 7 series.
