'Jack Reacher: Never Go Back', or 'Jack Reacher 2', is an upcoming action-drama film starring Tom Cruise in the title role. The actor is reportedly very involved in the filming of the sequel and was seen on-set in Louisiana with co-star Cobie Smulders. Robert Knepper of 'Prison Break' fame has reportedly joined the new cast.

According to The Daily Mail, Cruise is reprising his role as the titular ex-army man turned vagabond for the second installment in the action series. He was seen on the filming set in Baton Rouge, Louisiana together with co-star Cobie Smulders of 'How I Met Your Mother' fame.

In the series of photographs published by the media outlet, Cruise is seen with several cuts and bruises on his face. He also looked to have bulked up for his role. The scene was reportedly where he would meet Smulders in a military installation after he was brought in by the police.

According to People, a source on the filming set said that the 53-year old actor was always in a good mood while at work. The source added, "Tom is very involved in the shooting of this film... When his is not in a scene, he is on the radio talking to the crew and staying in contact with the entire film set."

It was also revealed that Cruise aimed at making the scenes "perfect", never failing to review every shot in monitors and talking to the director and crew should he need any changes made. The insider continued, "He's all work but seems more laid back and happier than ever. He still finds time to goof off and and enjoy laughs with his costar Cobie Smulders."

Meanwhile, Robert Knepper of 'Prison Break' fame has signed on to join Cruise and Smulders in the sequel. According to Coming Soon, he will be taking on the supporting role of General Harkness. Harkness is reportedly a former general turned CEO of a private military company.

'Jack Reacher: Never Go Back' is an upcoming follow-up to the 2012 action-thriller of the same name starring Tom Cruise. It is based on the novel by Lee Child and is directed by Edward Zwick.
