'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' is an upcoming action-adventure and fantasy film intended as the sequel to 'Man of Steel'. Gal Gadot revealed that Wonder Woman has a "naughty" side. Director Zack Snyder was also prompted to defend the destruction his new film will bring about on the big screen.

According to Coming Soon, Gadot revealed that her version of Wonder Woman has a "naughty" side. Previous reports hinted that her character will be over 5,000 years old and "coming out of retirement". She said, "She's seen it all... She has seen what humans can do, so it was very hard for her to come back and fight.... I don't want people to think she is perfect. She can be naughty."

The Israeli beauty joins the list of actresses who took on the role of Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman. One of the most significant live-action adaptations of the superheroine has been the television series of the same name starring Lynda Carter. Carter immortalized the DC comics icon on popular media in the show originally aired from 1975 to 1979.

Meanwhile, Zack Snyder's new film has been criticized for heavy amounts of destruction on screen. According to Games Radar, the director defended his interpretation in 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' as vital to the storytelling process.

He said, "I stand by it, because for me, I've always said when I was working on Watchmen - and maybe it's sort of left over from a Watchmen philosophical sort of thing - that there should be consequences to superheroes' interaction with the earth. And that was kind of the way that we approached 'Man Of Steel'. I wanted a big consequence to Superman's arrival on earth. Certainly, Batman v Superman sort of cashes in all its chips on the 'why' of that destruction".

According to another article by /Film, Snyder needed to make the fight between two powerful superheroes seem believable enough, thus, the eventual apparent physical destruction on set.

He said, "The discovery of the story is that Batman fights Superman. Now move your superhero chess pieces so that can happen. And it can happen in a credible and interesting way. ... It's just incredibly satisfying and fun to dig into these two mythological characters and find a through line that allows them to come into conflict in a way that not only is philosophically satisfying, but also physically real."

'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' is an upcoming action-adventure and fantasy film directed by Zack Snyder based on a screenplay by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer. It is intended as the sequel to 'Man of Steel' and is part of the DC shared universe of films. It stars Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck.
