'American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson': Asia Monet, Angela Parker officially on board; 'The Run of His Life' plot revealed

"Raising Asia" star Asia Monet lands on her first ever role on TV as she will portray the role of O.J. Simpson's daughter in "American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson" Season premiere. "Lab Rats" actress Angela Parker also joins the cast as Simpson's attorney Shawn Chapman. Also, the official plot description for episode 2 "Run of His Life" has been released by FX.

"Raising Asia" star Asia Monet left 'Dance Moms" in 2013 to pursue bigger and better opportunities. The 10-year-old dance performer lands on her first ever role in the small screen. Monet has been cast to play as O.J. Simpson's (Cuba Gooding Jr.) 8-year-old daughter, Sydney Simpson, IB Times reports.

Other than that, "Lab Rats" alum Angela Parker also officially joins the cast of "American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson". According to Rolling Out, the 35-year-old American actress will be portraying the character of attorney Shawn Chapman who will be working on O.J. Simpson's famous legal team. Parker's character is set to make her first appearance in the 9th episode of the 10-episodic docuseries.

As for the official synopsis of episode 2, The Futon Critic notes, "With O.J. Simpson missing in the white Bronco, Robert Shapiro (John Travolta) and Robert Kardashian (David Schwimmer) deal with the fallout as the D.A.'s office and LAPD scramble to save face and find him."

"American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson" Season 1 Episode 2 is entitled as "The Run of His Life". The forthcoming episode is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. exclusively on FX.

"American Crime Story" is an American true crime anthology TV series created by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. The storyline is based on Jeffrey Toobin's book "Run of His Life" which narrates the story of Simpson's 1995 murder trial.
