'Heroes" star Taylor Cole joins "The Originals" Season 3 to play as the newest vampire, Sofya. The CW finally released the official plot description and promo clip for the mid-season premiere episode "A Ghost Along the Mississipi".

"Heroes" alum Taylor Cole officially joins the cast of "The Originals" Season 3. According to TV Line, Cole is set to play the recurring role of Sofya, a smart, badass, and good-looking vampire whose skills are highly valued in the black market. Sofya is loyal to herself and is willing to lend a helping hand only to those who offers her a huge amount of cash. Cole's character will make her debut in episode 16.

As for the official plot synopsis of episode 10, Spoiler TV notes, "In the aftermath of a plan that left Cami dead, Klaus declares war on Aurora and Tristan. Vincent, who has resumed his role as Regent to the New Orleans witches, is forced to use his magi. Hayley and Jackson find themselves pawns in Tristan's twisted game. After learning that Tristan is in possession of a weapon that could take their family down Klaus, Elijah and Freya enact a risky plan that leads to a tense showdown with the Strix."

With that being said, The CW finally has also released the mid-season premiere's official promo clip. The video features Vincent as a Regent to the New Orleans witches. Then Tristan threatens Vincent to use his powers to find something or someone or else he will use his witches to put Finn Mikaelson (Casper Zafer) back inside his body, Design and Trend wrote.

"The Originals" Season 3 mid-season premiere episode is entitled as "A Ghost Along the Mississippi". The forthcoming episode is slated to premiere on Friday, January 29, 2016 exclusively on The CW.

"The Originals" is an American TV series created by Julie Plec. The storyline serves as a spin-off of "The Vampire Diaries".
