Some speculations say that the filming will begin by next summer at the very least.

Meanwhile, Management Group MCTV shares a casting breakdown asking for actors who are 8-40 years old that are very tall and skinny and very short but very physically agile and strong. It was also posted on their website that other skills such as acrobats, gymnasts, contortionists, Cirque du Soleil type of performers are requested. One could infer that these performers are about to play Xenomorphs.

In late 2015, Ridley Scott said that the team will have them all; face-hugger, 'chestburster', eggs, and the big boy himself. The director also explained the Alien: Covenant will reveal a destroyed Engineer planet. Moreover, Scott wanted to get his hands to expanding the universe of Aliens film and interweaving it into one sensational series. Noomi Rapace and Fassbender will reprise their roles in Alien: Covenant while newcomer Katherine Waterson will be added.
