‘The Flash’ Season 2 Spoilers: Show to explore Earth-2 storyline, Barry’s face off with Zoom on Feb. 9th episode

An upcoming episode of The Flash Season 2 will feature the alternate universe of Earth-2, while also putting the spotlight on Barry’s ultimate showdown with DC comics villain, Zoom.

Per the network’s description, viewers will find Barry, Wells and Cisco traveling to Earth-2 in order to save Wells’ daughter, Jesse. But the trio’s mission won’t be that easy since Jesse is being held captive by Zoom.

To this end, it is expected that the awaited faceoff between Central City’s speedster and Zoom will finally happen in the same hour aptly titled “Welcome to Earth-2”.

Series star Candice Patton previewed what fans can expect from this action-packed scene in a recent interview. The actress warned that Team Flash on Earth 1 will be in danger, but she also notes that their dopplegangers on Earth-2 are also not safe.

“Everyone on Earth-1 is in danger by the actions that Barry and Team Flash are taking by traveling to Earth-2 and taking on Zoom,” she told Entertainment Weekly.

“Subsequently, everyone on Earth-2 is now in danger — they’ve been in danger, but they’re in even more danger by challenging Zoom in the way that they are. It’s quite a scary aspect”.

Barry will also be meeting with the Earth-2 versions of Iris and Joe. But things will get more interesting when he sees a very different Caitlyn and Ronnie as the duo takes on the role of DC’s Killer Frost and Deathstorm.

Robbie Amell, the portrayer of Deathstorm, dropped an ominous spoiler abound on the episode. Apparently, not everyone will survive the chaos in Earth-2.

“In episode 13, so in a couple weeks, you'll see me as Deathstorm, and Caitlin as Killer Frost. So I get to come back, and I kill a series regular,” the actor revealed in a report from Comic Book.

Fans have yet to tune-in to find out which member of Team Flash will die on Earth-2.

The Flash Season 2 airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
